Do not repeatedly clear codes in an attempt to reset an emissions inducement; it can discard evidence and may not restore mobility. Save active, pending and stored states

Confirm that the DEF is not frozen

A frozen-fluid condition can block pressure and flow without a failed pump. Warm both temperature inputs above the gate

Stellantis specifies that ambient air and DEF tank temperature should both be above -6°C (21°F) for the routines discussed in this communication. Confirm both live values rather than assuming an overnight shop stay warmed the center of a large tank. If a sensor reports an implausible cold value after the fluid has warmed, diagnose that input. Do not apply external pressure to a urea line or energize the pump directly outside the service method.

Use visible flow only after a failed prime

Only after a valid warm prime fails does the communication move to visible delivery. A trained technician removes the urea line as directed, routes it into a suitable container and runs the pump override to observe whether fluid is delivered. DEF is corrosive to some materials and crystallizes as water evaporates, so use proper gloves, eye protection, containment and cleanup. Check software before ordering a pump

P208B and P20E8 deserve urgency because an inducement can change how the truck is used, but urgency is not permission to skip temperature. Preserve the state, warm the system above the published gate, run a valid prime and observe flow only when the failed prime earns it. That sequence often protects a good pump from a cold-weather misdiagnosis—and identifies a real delivery fault with much stronger evidence.
