How to Use the MRCARTOOL V308 Fuel Injector Cleaner and Tester
The MRCARTOOL V308 fuel injector cleaner and tester combines a 2,000 ml ultrasonic tank with a four-cylinder, pressure-regulated test bench. Use the two sides in order: clean the removed injectors with dedicated ultrasonic cleaning fluid, wipe them externally dry, mount them squarely in the test rail, fill the separate test circuit with approved test fluid, prove the assembly is sealed, then compare leakage, spray and collected volume under identical settings.
Quick answer: Check the delivered nameplate, protective ground, hoses, quartz-glass cylinders and seals first. Never run the ultrasonic tank dry. Keep cleaning fluid and test fluid separate. Add about 1,000 ml of test fluid through the level window with the drain handle in the preparation position, lubricate only sound injector O-rings lightly, clamp the oil rail evenly, connect the supply hose and pulse leads, then use injector-specific pressure and timing data. The manual’s 0.25–0.30 MPa value is a general electronic-injection example, not a universal setting.

Understand the two separate V308 circuits
The ultrasonic side uses cavitation to loosen deposits while the injector is held in the stainless tank and electrically pulsed. The diagnostic side uses a test-fluid reservoir, pump, pressure-regulating knob, oil rail, signal wires and four 100 ml graduated cylinders. One side cleans; the other lets you observe atomization, leakage and comparative delivery. Cleaning agent does not belong in the test tank, and test agent does not belong in the ultrasonic tank.
Read the actual nameplate before connecting power. The manual lists AC 110 V or 220 V, 50/60 Hz variants and identifies the V308 as Class I equipment requiring protective grounding. The delivered nameplate—not a product image—controls the supply. Keep extension connections from interrupting the protective conductor.
- Use the machine only in a dry, bright, well-ventilated area away from cigarettes, sparks, flames and hot ignition sources.
- Wear splash-rated eye protection and fluid-resistant gloves. Keep people and animals outside the immediate work zone.
- Inspect the cord, plug, fuse carrier, hoses, gauge, rail, signal leads, adapters, drain valves and four quartz-glass cylinders. Stop for damage or a part that must be forced.
- Identify each injector by part number and cylinder. Verify connector, supported drive method, approved test pressure and service tolerance before energizing it.
- Use only dedicated, compatible ultrasonic cleaning fluid and injector test fluid. Gasoline, kerosene and unidentified substitutes can damage O-rings, hoses and the pump.
Stop before setup: Do not use the V308 with cracked glass, a leaking hose, damaged insulation, unknown nameplate voltage, an unidentified injector or an O-ring that is cut, hard, swollen or flattened.
Step 1: Remove, identify and pre-clean the injectors
Release vehicle fuel pressure and remove the injectors by the vehicle procedure. Keep each one mapped to its cylinder. Inspect the inlet, nozzle, electrical housing and seals; replace damaged rubber before a pressurized test. Remove loose exterior grease with approved cleaner and a soft cloth without pushing debris into an opening.
Step 2: Load the ultrasonic cleaning tank
Place the supplied cleaning bracket in the ultrasonic tank and insert the cleaned injector bodies in its locating holes. Add dedicated injector ultrasonic-cleaning agent until it covers the bottom of the bracket as described in the manual. Keep electrical connectors and unapproved components out of the liquid. Attach the pulse leads or required adapter leads with the machine stopped.

Switch on the correctly grounded machine, select 01 Ultrasonic Cleaning, and set the working time; the manual gives 10 minutes as the default. Press Start, then turn on the separate ultrasonic switch on the side. Observe the tank throughout the cycle. Pause or stop if an injector moves, a connector becomes wet or the liquid level is wrong.
Step 3: Use the heater only as a controlled aid
The V308 has a separate heating switch, and current product material presents 40–45°C as the cleaning-fluid heating range. Turn the heater on only when the approved fluid and delivered instructions permit it. Do not use heat to compensate for the wrong fluid, low level or excessive cleaning time. The tank must never be energized dry.

When the countdown reaches zero, switch the ultrasound and heater off, remove the injectors carefully and let excess cleaning fluid return to the tank. Wipe them with a soft clean cloth. Their exterior and electrical connectors must be dry before the test-rail assembly begins.
Step 4: Fill the separate test-fluid circuit
Confirm the test-agent drain valve and cylinder drain handle are in the preparation positions specified by the delivered labels. Use the supplied funnel to add approved test fluid slowly through the viewing window. The manual calls for one bottle, approximately 1,000 ml, and the video shows the level kept between the window marks. Stop adding if the level rises unexpectedly or fluid appears outside the machine.
The V308’s listed machine limits include 0–0.6 MPa system pressure, 0–20 ms pulse width, 0–7,500 rpm simulated range and 0–10 minute work time. These are equipment capabilities, not automatic injector settings. The exact injector or vehicle procedure controls pressure, pulse and acceptance limits.
Step 5: Match adapters and build the oil rail
Select the top-feed connector that matches the injector inlet and install it in the oil rail. Apply only a light film of compatible lubricant to a sound injector O-ring, then insert each injector straight into its connector. Do not use the rail to straighten a tilted injector and do not mix injector types in one comparison.

Place the rail and injectors horizontally on the upper support so each nozzle points into its own cylinder. Install the two locking rods and tighten the lock nuts evenly. The assembly should remain square and stable without a person holding it. An uneven clamp can side-load a seal, direct spray outside a cylinder and invalidate a volume comparison.

Step 6: Connect supply hose and signal wires
With power to the test function stopped, connect the oil-supply pipe to the rail and route it without twist or side load. Connect each signal lead to the mapped injector. Keep all electrical connections dry and outside the spray path. Gently verify the rail, hose and leads cannot pull an injector out of alignment.

Do not press Start: Stop if an injector is tilted, an O-ring is exposed, a nozzle is not centered over its cylinder, a lock rod is uneven, the supply fitting starts crooked, a signal connector is wet or any drain path is in an unknown position.
Step 7: Select a function and set controlled parameters
Use the function keys to choose one of the ten menu items. The two display windows show function/pulse width and working time/injection count; separate keys change pulse width and time/count. Use Start to run, Pause to suspend and Stop to end and return to selection. The pressure-regulating knob controls test pressure while the gauge provides the reference.

The manual uses 0.25–0.30 MPa as a general electronic-injection example and describes a 0.3 MPa leakage check. Do not universalize either number. Set the pressure required by the exact injector/service procedure and remain below both that requirement and the V308’s 0.6 MPa machine limit. Raise pressure gradually while watching the gauge, hose, rail, seals and cylinders.
Step 8: Prove sealing, then observe spray
Begin with a leakage check or the lowest-risk applicable procedure. Keep hands clear while pressure builds. Wetness at a rail connector, hose or injector inlet is a setup leak; fluid appearing from the nozzle while the injector is closed may indicate injector leakage. Stop and depressurize before touching either condition.
After the external setup stays dry, run the applicable fixed-speed test. Watch whether every injector opens, whether spray remains inside the cylinder and whether the pattern is stable. Stop for an abnormal pump sound, rapidly falling pressure, a moving rail, electrical arcing, fluid outside the cylinders or a hot connector.
Step 9: Compare collected volume

For Items 08–10, prepare all cylinders at the same readable baseline and move the oil-drain handle only as the delivered procedure requires for collection. Set the injection count, run all channels together, pause or stop before a cylinder becomes too full, allow the liquid to settle and read each meniscus at eye level. Record the values before returning the fluid to the tank.
The manual mentions a within-set deviation of 2 percent, then directs the operator to the injector technical manual. Treat the exact service specification as controlling. Before condemning a low injector, repeat the setup check and determine whether the difference follows the injector or a lead, adapter, cylinder or rail position.
Step 10: Stop, depressurize and maintain
Press Stop, return pressure to a safe state and wait until the gauge and fluid behavior show that stored pressure is gone. Switch off the function, side switches and main power, then unplug the machine before loosening the supply hose, lock nuts, rail or injectors. Treat every connection as pressurized until verified otherwise.
- Raise or open the cylinder drain control as required and return reusable test fluid only when it remains serviceable and uncontaminated.
- Remove leads by their connector bodies and keep wet adapters away from electrical parts.
- Drain used cleaning and test agents separately into compatible labeled containers; dispose of contaminated fluid as hazardous waste under local rules.
- For long storage, drain the test tank through its valve. The manual calls for a small clean-fluid rinse before draining again and adding 1 L of new test agent at service time.
- Wipe the cabinet with a dry soft cloth, protect the quartz-glass cylinders from impact and store the adapters where their identity is preserved.

Frequently asked questions
Can the V308 test direct-injection injectors?
Do not infer coverage from the word injector. Verify the exact injector’s adapter, connector, drive method and pressure requirement against the delivered V308 documentation. The 0.6 MPa machine limit does not reproduce every high-pressure direct-injection system.
Are cleaning fluid and test fluid interchangeable?
No. The manual requires dedicated fluids in separate circuits and warns against mixing them or substituting gasoline, kerosene and unapproved agents.
Can ultrasonic cleaning run without liquid?
No. Dry operation can damage the ultrasonic system. Add the approved cleaning fluid to the required level before starting Item 01 or the side ultrasonic switch.
Is 0.25–0.30 MPa correct for every injector?
No. It is a general example in the V308 manual. Use the exact injector or vehicle test specification and stay within the lower of that requirement and the machine’s limit.
