A component-related code can concern the information arriving from the component, not simply the component’s mechanical condition. Before approving another assembly, ask what the code means for this exact model and how its diagnostic procedure distinguishes wiring, feedback and hardware.

Code descriptions from a generic search result may leave out the conditions used to set them. The technician needs the Lexus definition, wiring and inspection sequence for the applicable vehicle.
