We want a go/no-go checklist before camera or radar calibration. Jobs sometimes reach the calibration bay with incorrect tire pressure, an off-center steering wheel or unresolved suspension play, then fail late.

Which mechanical and electronic baselines should be signed off first?

Use the manufacturer checklist for the system, but common prerequisites include correct tires and pressures, ride height and load, no suspension or steering play, alignment within preferred specifications, centered steering, valid steering-angle and ride-height data, clean sensor areas, correct target setup and a level controlled bay. Complete a pre-scan and resolve relevant faults first.

Calibration does not correct mechanical aim. Record alignment values, target distances and heights, software version and the final calibration result so the work can be reproduced.

The checklist stopped one calibration because rear thrust angle was out despite front toe being green. After alignment correction, the steering wheel centered and the camera calibration passed on the first attempt. We avoided repeated target setups.
