Different kits use graduated bottles or timed tubes, and reports sometimes record only “injector 4 high.” We want enough detail to compare a hot long-crank test with a later verification.

Record fuel temperature, engine state, cranking or idle duration, rail-pressure behavior, container scale and the volume for every injector. Equal hose length and a level rack matter. Use both the absolute service limit and the side-to-side comparison when the manufacturer provides them. Stop before a container overflows or air enters the circuit.
For a hot-start complaint, repeat at the actual hot condition. A cold idle return test may not expose the injector that prevents start pressure after heat soak.

The updated form captured 30 seconds of hot cranking and rail-pressure rise beside each return volume. It made the excessive cylinder obvious and gave us a direct after-repair comparison under the same temperature.
