Code language is another trap. A dismantler may call every third-generation SUV “9Y0,” while a parts catalog uses a more specific 9YA/9Y3-style family. Preserve the exact words and source, then translate through the VIN/build record instead of arguing from nickname alone.

For used parts, request donor VIN, body, production month, exact model/powertrain, facelift status, relevant options, and complete part number. “Fits 958 and 9Y0” demands unusually strong manufacturer evidence because it crosses generations.

Condition belongs on a separate page of the option file. Diagnostic faults, leaks, tire wear, brake measurements, and service history can inform a purchase, but they do not change chassis identity. Conversely, a perfectly documented Cayenne is not automatically healthy. Keeping identity and condition separate prevents a clean history report from substituting for inspection, or a fault code from sending the catalog into the wrong model branch.

Save the full Cayenne option line
