2020 BMW 530Le Would Not Charge or Cool: Compressor Short Opened EME Protection

A 2020 BMW 530Le lost both charging and A/C when a shorted electric compressor opened its EME protected supply branch.

A BMW 530Le with a B48 engine had a concealed coolant leak traced by the source to an aged internal water-pump seal discharging through the pump's weep hole. The pump was replaced, its interface was prepared, the cooling circuit was evacuated and filled, and the published acceptance checks covered pressure retention and warm temperature response; year, chassis, and mileage were not reported.

A 2019 BMW 530Le raised its rear suspension but would not lower it. Opening the original compressor revealed water, corrosion, wet desiccant, and a seized relief solenoid; repairing and drying the pump, then calibrating ride height, restored normal movement without parts replacement.
