Ford Transit AdBlue no-start countdown continues after the tank was filled
Review the evidence, add a focused answer, and distinguish confirmed measurements from assumptions.
A 2019 Transit diesel shows a restart countdown even with the reductant tank full. Stored faults indicate low reductant pressure and poor dosing response. The pump reaches command slowly, and white crystals surround the injector flange. Tank temperature and level data are plausible.
What should be tested before replacing the tank or pump assembly?
Confirm reductant quality and concentration with approved equipment, then run the guided pressure build and leak-down tests. Inspect the injector and heated line for crystallization or restriction, because a blocked injector can distort pressure response. Verify pump supply and current under command and check for leaks before blaming the complete tank module.
Do not clear the countdown repeatedly without completing the monitored repair and drive procedure. The system must see valid pressure and dosing response under its enable conditions.
The line held pressure, but the dosing injector had restricted flow from crystallization at its inlet. Cleaning was not permitted by the service procedure, so the injector was replaced. Pressure response normalized and the guided dosing test cleared the countdown.
