Community Guidelines

Ask one focused question

Include the vehicle year, make, model and powertrain, when the symptom occurs, diagnostic trouble codes, measurements, warning lights, tests already performed and parts already replaced.

Answer from evidence

Separate confirmed measurements from assumptions. Explain why a test or repair is relevant, state important limits or uncertainty, and link to a useful OBD2SCAN article when it adds context.

Safety comes first

Clearly identify work involving brakes, steering, restraint systems, high voltage, fuel, lifting or other serious hazards. Recommend qualified help when safe diagnosis requires training or equipment.

Protect people and original work

Do not publish personal data, VINs, credentials, copied manuals, spam or harassment. Give credit when referring to another source. Moderators may edit, hold, close or remove content that breaks these rules.

Questions are not guaranteed repairs

Community answers are educational guidance, not a substitute for inspection of the actual vehicle. The person performing the work remains responsible for confirming the diagnosis and following applicable service information.
